Apartment.

Daydreaming about my apartment again! I found a checklist of essentials I would need for each section of my apartment, so I can be ready to create the home I’ve always wanted! I feel like I can find these pieces fairly cheap at thrift stores or even TJ Maxx/Target if I really can’t find them anywhere else!

Furniture wise, this is what I definitely want/need:

- STUDY DESK
I know I need a really good desk for school related stuff. I need a desk I can organize and I can focus at and know that I have a place to go when it is time to get busy and hit the books!

- DINING ROOM/KITCHEN TABLE
I need a small kitchen table for Greg and I to eat at.

- WALL SHELVES
To increase space in my apartment I need to get shelves I can hang up (safely, not holes necessary) on walls to store books and decorative items. I could also put some in the kitchen for utensils and other small kitchen necessities.

- SOFA/COUCH
Obviously, for watching TV and snuggling up on when reading a book.

- END TABLE/COFFEE TABLE
For placing drinks on or anything else while watching TV or just lounging around.

- BEDROOM DRESSER
Not only for storing clothes but for putting my make up on or hair stuff or just pretty pictures and decorations! My sister has one in her house she took from me when she moved in, so I can just move that one back in.

- BIG WALL MIRROR(S?)
I read that hanging mirrors adjacent to each other can make a small space look larger so I deff want to find one, if not two, really pretty (but can be basic, too) mirrors that I can, again, hang safely on my wall. I was thinking I want to put a mirror right about a small table right when you enter the apartment because I feel like that would look really nice.

Apartment Decor Ideas (on a budget):

- Go to Thrift Shops/Garage Sales/TJ Maxx for Cheap Decor/Small Antiques
- Buy Cheap Mismatched Furniture & Repaint the Pieces, Making Them Look Like a Set.
- Remember: Dark Colors Make the Space Look Smaller
- Hang Pretty Curtains in Windows
- Buy a Pretty Hanging Wall Shelf to Use for Storing Things
- Use Pretty Books as Decorations Through the Place
- Drape Pretty Fabrics over Chairs/Sofas for a Nice Decoration Piece
- Hang a Mirror in the Hall (Or Across a Window!) to Make the Place Look Bigger
- Frame Photos in Pretty Frames, but Don’t OVER do it.
- Get Easy to Care For Plants or Fake Flowers (That aren’t TOO Obvious)
- Buy Cute Hat Boxes/Storage Boxes/Baskets for Decorative Storage
- Decorate Coffee Cans with Pretty Paper for Pen/Pencil Storage
